FAQ: Setting Up a Business Page on the Yellow Pages

Setting up a business page is relatively easy. This is where you input the relevant information so we can be sure that you are a legally registered local business that makes your business eligible to be listed on the Yellow pages’ online business directory “yellow.mu”.

What is the cost and how difficult is it to set up a business page?
An MYP Classic Business Page is FREE. It is very easy to claim or set up a listing.
- The basic particulars are those you would find on a business card.
- Other mandatory fields are those that are on your invoice and/or your trading license;
  
  Legal status
  
  Business Registration Number (BRN)
  
  Value Added Tax number (VAT Number)
  
  Job Title of the account administrator
  
  For the Classic business page you need:
  
  A short and precise description of your core business i.e. "Selling quality computer and communication devices and related accessories". Not exceeding 80 characters.
  
  To select industry categories so you appear in MYP’s basic local business search.
  
  Keywords that are generated from the categories. In case you require a specific keyword which is not listed, you can request this at the time of setup.
All details can be updated/edited at any time from the administrator dashboard.
Are there other business page options?

Yes. Our basic listing is the Free Classic Business Page, but you can upgrade to a paid business page. Paid business pages enable you to include additional information including visual, marketing and other tools such as a catalogue, coupon(s), a dedicated banner advert and integrated e-commerce to mention just a few.
Is it difficult to setup a paid business page?
No, but it helps to prepare the information and visual materials needed for the respective plan chosen. Follow the simple steps and your business page will be easy to set up and will be published promptly:

You can also download an MYP business page preparation checklist, or request assistance from MYP customer service staff.
- It is important to note that you can upload missing information or visual material at any time from your dashboard. Only basic business details and category selection are mandatory to set up any business page.
Can MYP help me if I/we are not confident about setting up a business page OR do not have all the materials?

Of course we can assist. If you have the information and visual material, we can set up the administrator account and business page for a nominal fee that ranges from MUR 150 to 450 depending on the business page plan selected.

If you do not have the materials already, we have editorial and graphics staff who can create the necessary materials and content for a nominal fee. Any materials and content created for you will be under your own copyright.

What type of visual materials can I upload to my business page?

From your dashboard you will find a menu for all the sections of your business page. Within each section you will find tooltips and a video tutorial that will guide you as to the sizes and formats that can be uploaded. It is important that you keep all image file sizes as small as possible for optimal loading speed. It is important that your business page has as short as possible a loading time. It would be best if your images are saved as progressive. A person with general knowledge of graphics will be able to save the image as progressive.
