Within this section we answer general questions about yellow.mu and its products and services. While we have taken special care to cover all aspects, if you are unable to find your answer, you can always contact our customer service team or our sales team.

  •   What are the benefits for businesses listed on the Yellow Pages?

    Mauritius Yellow Pages (MYP) enhances the visibility of your business to the many thousands of people who visit the MYP network on a daily basis. Various types of plans have been carefully crafted for you, such as our Classic, Classic+, Premium, Premium+ and Cyber business pages. Depending on the business page plan you select, you can display various business details and access marketing features to promote your Products/Services. You can naturally also expect to benefit from an increase in traffic to your website, leading to more sales and more brand awareness.

    MYP also have a mobile app in development where additional exposure and options will be available to help your business gain more visibility.

    All business accounts will receive updates on new features/tools.

  •   What are the costs of the listings?

    The cost of the various plans of MYP has been designed with the idea of making it affordable for everyone, whether you are a small, medium or large business. Our Classic plan is FREE, and prices start at only MUR 49,99 a month for a paid business page. Marketing is made easy. You will find the Business Page Plan price list here.

  •   Are there any additional charges?

    No, there are no additional charges, unless you choose to upgrade or add branches.

  •   Can I have my business listed on MYP without having a membership account?

    All businesses need to set up an administration account. That is the first step of an easy 4 step registration process.

  •   What does “Claim Your Business” mean?

    Claim your business is the way to take control of a business page that we already have published on Yellow.mu. For example, you find your business on Yellow.mu and it is labelled “Claim Your Business”, you simply need to click on the claim button and follow the steps as described to “Claim Your Business”.

    Upon taking control you can decide to upgrade the business page from the Free Classic to any of the other business page plans.

  •   What are the steps to add my business?

    You need to set up an administration account. That is the first step of an easy 4 step registration process.

  •   Can I edit information?

    Definitely. You can change your data if you see there is a mistake in it or you have wrongly input data, you can change your business page as often as you want. We give you full control over your information.

  •   Can my account get deleted or suspended?

    Yes. Your account can be deleted or suspended by the support team of Yellow.mu. Reasons for getting deleted or suspended would include but are not limited to, the following:

    • Abuse of MYP’s terms and conditions
    • Not being a locally registered business
    • Unusual traffic/statistics
    • Hacked accounts or attempted hacking
    • Not complying with MYP’s instructions and/or warnings
  •   What does case sensitive mean?

    It means that information being entered - usually for usernames and passwords - are recognised as being in uppercase or lowercase or a combination of the two. For example, if you create your password as 'mYp' but when you next go to login you use 'myp' as a password, it will not be recognised. The system will detect the ‘y’ is different.

  •   What is Email Verification?

    When you register as a business or member on the Yellow Pages you will receive an email from us that requires you to verify your email address. When you have completed and submitted the Member registration form, or the first step of the ‘Business sign up’ or ‘Claim your Business’ process - ‘Account Administrator Set-up’ you will receive an email containing a link that you must click on to verify your email address. If you do not verify your email address you will not be able to log into your account. In case you do not find the verification email from us in your inbox, you need to check your Spam or Junk folder. In case you find the email there, you will need to whitelist the domain name, so that you do not miss out on future emails from us. Find out more about Email whitelisting in the section below.

  •   What is Email Whitelisting?

    When you receive an email from Yellow.mu for the first time, you may not find the email in your inbox. In this case you need to check your Spam or Junk folder. If you find the email there, you will need to whitelist the domain name, so that you do not miss out on future emails from us. This is generally a very simple process. In Outlook, you right click on the email and from the dropdown menu you select either Junk and/or your antivirus to select the whitelist function.

  •   How do I get my business on YellowMobile?

    Once YellowMobile (Mobile App) is released all registered business will be notified. Any business that wants to be on YellowMobile will need to be subscribed to a minimum of a Premium + business page plan.

    You can always upgrade by accessing the billing section of the dashboard of your account.

  •   What can Mauritius Yellow Pages do for my business?

    As a Business Page subscriber you will benefit from the increased exposure of your businesses and gain access to great new marketing features and tools.

    The yellow.mu business directory is viewed by thousands of potential customers every day, and every subscriber can upgrade their business page to obtain more brand exposure, advertising and access to additional features and tools. These features and tools will increase your exposure online, services/products branding, facilitate sales, and search rank results.
